Heavy! Amazon requires sellers to perform this certification by March 7, otherwise the product will be at risk of removal

Recently, Amazon has issued a new policy again, this time the policy is related to the sellers of 3C products. Amazon will remove products that lack required FCC information starting March 7, 2022. The policy is as follows:

According to the announcement, according to Amazon's policy, all radio frequency devices (RFDs) must comply with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations and all applicable federal, state and local laws.

As of March 7, ASINs for electronic or electrical products without FCC information are at risk of being removed if the product needs to be certified.

At the same time, Amazon recommends that sellers of RFD devices sold on Amazon be in the FCC radio frequency emission compliance attribute, and sellers must do the following:

1

Provide evidence of FCC authorization, including an FCC certification number or contact information for a responsible party as defined by the FCC.

2

Statement that this product does not emit radio frequency energy or does not require an FCC radio frequency device authorization. Fill out more information on FCC Radio Frequency Emissions Compliance Properties.

As early as February 2021, Amazon has issued relevant notices for FCC certification.

The difference is that the notice did not delete the ASIN prompt, but this time the notice stipulates that compliance processing needs to be carried out before March 7. It can also be said that this announcement is an "upgraded version" of last year's announcement.

What is FCC?

FCC stands for Federal Communications Commission, an agency of the U.S. federal government that regulates the radio spectrum in the U.S. The FCC prevents "radio and broadcast pollution" by enforcing broadcast decency standards and by regulating sources of electromagnetic noise.

All electronic products entering the United States require FCC certification (except for a very few products that are specially exempted from relevant provisions). The requirements of the FCC regulations cover transmitter requirements, wireless equipment, electromagnetic compatibility requirements, telephone terminal equipment, technical specifications such as test methods, administrative requirements, and other market access conditions.

Certified products include radio, television, digital cameras, Bluetooth, wireless devices and various RF electronic products.
