ISO22000-Food Safety Management System Certification
ISO22000:2005 "Food Safety Management System - Requirements for Various Organizations in the Food Chain" was released by ISO on September 1, 2005. In my country, on July 1, 2006, it is equivalent to adopting ISO22000: In 2005, the national standard GB/T22000-2006 was released and implemented. The creation of ISO22000 unifies the global management system standards for the implementation of food safety hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) systems, ensuring that it will not vary from country to country or food involved. ISO22000:2005 adopts the ISO9000 standard system structure, and applies the principle of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) as a method to the entire system; it clarifies that hazard analysis is the core of safe food implementation planning, and integrates international Product characteristics, intended use, flow diagrams, processing steps and control measures and communications in the preparatory steps developed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) as input to the hazard analysis and its update; while incorporating the HACCP plan and its prerequisites - prerequisite programs Dynamic, balanced combination.
ISO22000:2005 applies to all organisations in the food chain wishing to establish systems to ensure food safety, regardless of their size, type and the products they offer. It is suitable for agricultural product manufacturers, animal feed manufacturers, food manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. It also applies to food-related equipment suppliers, logistics suppliers, packaging material suppliers, agricultural chemicals and food additive suppliers, service suppliers and restaurants involved in food, etc.
Benefits of ISO22000:
1. Improve the image and credibility of the organization and increase market opportunities;
2. Use process management mode to continuously improve product quality and safety;
3. Establish emergency preparedness and corresponding measures to better respond to crisis;
4. Show compliance with laws and regulations and reduce legal risk expenses;
5. Easy to integrate with other systems and reduce overall operating costs.
