1. The Importance of Japan METI Filing

1) PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan, which is used to prove that electrical and electronic products have passed the Japan Electricity and Material Safety Law ( DENAN Law) or international IEC standard safety standard test.

2) Products stipulated by Japan's DENTORL Law (Electrical Device and Material Control Law) must pass the PSE safety certification when entering the Japanese market. Among them, 116 kinds of A-type products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 341 kinds of B-type products should obtain the circular PSE mark.

3) METI filing regulations require Japanese buyers to register with METI within one month after purchasing goods, and must mark the purchase name or ID on the product for supervision and management in the future product sales process.

Special reminder: At present, products that are exported to Japan and have applied for PSE certification are required to be filed with METI!

3. Japan METI registration application process

1) The applicant cooperates with Microtest to provide application documents;

2) Submit the test report and related documents to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan;

3) Application document registration;

4) Product brand name design and confirmation.

 

4. List of Japanese METI filing materials

1) Application form for opening a case;

2) PSE test report (products with battery or adapter, battery and adapter also need PSE test report);

3) Product manual (Japanese + English);

4) Product specification (BOM, product photos);

5) Statement of differences (if there are serial models in the report).
