Kuwait Conformity Assurance Scheme (KUCAS Certification):
Implementation background:
The Kuwait Ministry of Industry (PAI) has implemented the "Kuwait Conformity Assurance Scheme" (KUCAS Certification) on June 17, 2006, which is implemented by the Kuwait Ministry of Industry (PAI) to certify that all "controlled products" comply with Kuwait technical regulations , this technical regulation applies to imported products and similar domestic products, and is consistent with this scheme.

The Kuwait Conformity Assurance Scheme (KUCAS) consists of two forms of certificates:
1) Technical Evaluation Report (TER), the full name in English: Technical Evaluation Report, is used to prove that the product meets the requirements of the program and can be exported to Kuwait. In layman's terms: TER means "product registration", after registration, apply for customs clearance before each shipment Quality certificate TIR can be.
2) The technical inspection certificate (TIR) is a mandatory document, the full name in English: Technical Inspection Report, for each batch of goods exported to Kuwait, TIR or "customs clearance permit document" must be submitted, any of which can be used as the final customs clearance prerequisite
How to apply for TER?
If there are large and frequent products in the regulated catalog, it is recommended to apply for TER first. The TER certificate is the product registration certificate. To apply for TER, you need to prepare the following documents:
1) Test report of the product: The report needs to be issued by a qualified third-party testing agency. Those who already have a valid test report do not need to test separately.
2) Product pictures and technical parameters
3) Fill out the TER application form: the blank application form will be provided by the agency. Submit the above information to the KUCAS official designated agency for processing.
To apply for TIR, you need to prepare the following documents:
1. Packing List: Packing List
2. Proforma Invoice: Proforma Invoice
3. Product test report: It needs to be issued by a qualified third-party testing agency. Those who already have a valid test report do not need to test separately.
4. CoC application form: blank application form is provided by the agency
In addition to submitting the above information, the application for TIR also needs to arrange cargo inspection. The following are Kuwait's inspection requirements:
1) The origin label "Made in China" must appear on the product, inner packaging and outer packaging, and none of them are indispensable. At the same time, "Made in China" must be engraved or stamped (cannot be erased), stickers are not accepted, required on each product and packaging.
2) The product manual must have an Arabic manual
3) Mandatory frequency: 50 HZ; applicable voltage: 230 V, 240 V
4) Special requirements for plugs and sockets: must be British triangular plugs and sockets (BS1363)
5) Electronic and electrical products need to display the voltage and frequency on the product label
