Documents to be submitted for KC certification

The following documents need to be submitted when new products apply for KC certification

Application for Safety Certification of Electrical Appliances (Compulsory Product)

1) List of parts that directly affect safety

2) Electrical wiring diagram

3) Transformer detailed specification (for related products)

4) Catalogue of insulating materials (temperature, withstand voltage characteristics or flame resistance grade, etc.)

5) Product certificate (including Korean product certificate)

6) Label

7) Agent authorization certificate (required for mandatory products; required for self-regulatory products applied by agents)

8) Questionnaire (mandatory product)

The cost of KC certification mainly depends on the price of different products.

factory inspection

There are three types of factory inspections

(1) First factory inspection

After accepting the product certification application, it is necessary to conduct the first factory inspection of the factory and conduct a preliminary assessment of the factory's quality control system.

(2) Annual factory inspection

After the certificate is issued, the certification body will conduct an annual follow-up review of the factory every year, with the purpose of reviewing the consistency of the factory's quality control system and whether it can continue to meet safety standards.

(3) Sampling inspection

There are 216 kinds of products listed in the scope of KC mark compulsory certification so far. The Korean Safety Law stipulates that all kinds of products are sampled every year, so each product is sampled once a year.
