1. Introduction to emark certification


The original written format of emark certification is E-mark certification or e-mark certification, but it is only habitually written as emark certification. It is a certification system implemented by the Economic Commission for Europe and the European Union for vehicles and components. According to the regulations of ECE Regulation and EC Direction, all vehicles and main parts and components that need to enter the market of their member states must pass the corresponding emark test and production consistency inspection, and print the corresponding mark on the product, otherwise they will face the customs. Seizure and risk of being penalized by the market surveillance agency of the importing country.

There are two forms of emark certification: E-mark certification and e-mark certification. E-mark certification is based on the ECE Regulation of the Economic Commission for Europe as the test standard, also known as ECE certification, mainly for vehicle parts and components; while e-mark certification is based on the European Union Directive (EC Direction) as the test standard, also known as EEC certification , mainly for the vehicle. E-mark certification and e-mark certification are written together as E/e-mark certification.

 

2. The scope of products applicable to emark certification


1. Whole vehicle—that is, two-wheeled (inclusive) or more means of transportation, such as passenger cars, trucks, cars, motorcycles, electric vehicles, tricycles, all-terrain vehicles, etc.;

2. Parts - that is, the components necessary to make up the whole vehicle, such as lights, rearview mirrors, tires, seat belts, brake pads, horns, fuel tanks, glass, interior parts, etc.;

3. Accessories - accessories that can be disguised on the vehicle, such as warning triangles, reflective stickers, reversing radar, reversing images, car chargers, cigarette lighters, etc.

European countries for emark certification: Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Hungary, Czech Republic, Spain, Serbia and Montenegro, United Kingdom, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Romania, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Greece, Ireland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Belarus, Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Macedonia, Ukraine, Malta, Montenegro.

2. Asian countries for emark certification: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand.

3. African countries for emark certification: South Africa, Tunisia.

4. Oceania countries for emark certification: Australia, New Zealand.

5. Other applicable countries or regions: Egypt, some countries in the Middle East.
