1. About CPC certification
▬What is CPC certificate?
CPC, namely Children's Product Certificate, children's product certificate.
This certificate stems from the requirements of the US Children's Product Mandatory Regulation CPSIA (Children's Product Safety Promotion Act): Children's product manufacturers (referring to domestic manufacturers in the United States) and importers (US) must be based on the test results of CPSC-accredited third-party laboratories. A written Children's Product Certificate (CPC) certifies that its children's product complies with applicable children's product safety regulations.
▬ What products need to provide CPC certificate?
Children's Products (Consumer products designed for children 12 years of age or younger, or for which the primary user is 12 years of age or younger.)
▬ Who provides the CPC certificate?
U.S. manufacturer or U.S. importer, or written by another agency (such as a testing agency).
▬Who is responsible for CPC certification?
U.S. importers are legally responsible for products imported into the U.S.
▬The contents of the CPC certificate include:
■ Product information: The products covered by the certificate should be described in as much detail as possible, so that product identification is unique;
■ CPSC safety regulations applicable to and tested by the product: the test needs to be carried out by a third-party laboratory accredited by CPSC;
■ Name, address, and contact information of the U.S. importer or U.S.-based manufacturer who certifies product compliance;
■ contact information for the person keeping the test report;
■ Product production date and address;
■ the date and address where the product was tested;
■ Information on the CPSC-accredited third-party laboratory that performed the test.
